Here's what they're saying...
about US Fastpitch Camps and some of the camps we've attended and hosted just recently. We love to get feedback from athletes, parents and fellow coaches. Enjoy!
Hosting a US Fastpitch Camp was one of the highlights of our 2007 season. I've sent my players to other camps, but they lacked the personality that the USFCamp has shown. The instructors were great! Jackie Coburn and April Valdez make great role models for our young players. The drills they taught were fun and challenging. The players who attended related to the instructors, had a lot of fun, walked away with new skills and a better understanding of the game. This is definitely a camp we will enjoy hosting again and again.

"We just completed the Arizona Holiday Fastpitch Camp in Scottsdale, AZ. Jackie, April, and Vanessa were absolutely fantastic! I was very impressed with the knowledge they shared with all the girls who came from literally around the country! I was also impressed with the organization of the camp days, the nightly activities, and the chaperoning of the girls without parents. I hope to send my daughter to future camps, so she can learn from the best players softball has to offer. Thank you so much for an experience that our family will benefit for years to come."

"My daughter Kay attended your recent December 2007 camp in Scottsdale, AZ....Kay reports to me that she was quite pleased with the camp experience, albeit totally worn out by it! She has already begun to lobby for a return trip next winter!
One of the reasons I was so pleased by the camp was that it was a SOFTBALL centered program, not a half-softball, half-summer camp experience. We came to Arizona to train and your coaches did that--they trained Kay! kay and I both were pleased with the approach and professionalism of all the coaches. Kay learned much and had a lot of fun and I (as a 20 year baseball coach) also learned some new things as well! To my observation, all the coaches were skilled as well as polite and patient with the parents. The coaches progressions were sound and their ability to keep such a wide age span motivated is a real skill...."

I want to thank you for the "CYSA Pro Spring All-Around Softball Camp", that you held on March 17th - March 18th at the L.C. Bird Softball Complex in Chesterfield, Virginia. My daughter, Bridget, had a great time. Your instructors, John & Cary, did a wonderful job. They related well with the players and the coaches / parents. We look forward to your next Softball Camp in this area.

I was one of the coaches in attendance at the clinic John led Saturday afternoon. As a first year coach (and father of one of my players) one of my biggest concerns has been how to teach hitting, throwing, and pitching to girls that have never played before. I coach 8 & under slow pitch, so about half of my girls have never played before. I played baseball (rather poorly) for several years as a kid and had better success playing amateur softball as an adult, but since I've always been a fan of baseball and an armchair student of the game, I couldn't remember how I learned the basics.
John's breakdown of hitting was EXACTLY what I needed. Armed with that I headed for our Sunday afternoon practice and by the end of an hour, there was a tremendous difference in how often they were making contact, how well they were hitting the ball, and how much smoother and controlled their swings were. I feel like John gave me the tools to get started AND an understanding of the swing so that I can watch the girls and make adjustments as they progress
The throwing and pitching breakdowns were equally valuable (I can't remember the instructor's name, but she had some great tips and drills). Both of the team's pitchers moved up to 10U fast pitch this year, so I don't have any experienced pitchers but with the drills we were given, I have 3 or 4 girls who look like they will be able to take the mound. As for throwing, at our first practices, it seemed like all of the girls only wanted to throw underhanded, but after the wrist snap drill, all of them are trying (with quite a bit of success) to throw the ball overhand.
Ben: you have a great team here. Their knowledge, experience of, and passion for the game are quite obvious. Thanks to all of you! We may not have the best team this season, but now my will learn the game and have a fun season

"Erica Beach is definitely the icon for young players across the nation. Not only is she a great professional and college player, but she has the experience, attitude, and personality to do great camps and clinics.
I highly recommend her as an instructor and encourage young players to take advantage of her expertise.

"Erica Beach was definitely one of the highlights of our Thanksgiving camp. All the campers and parents loved her teaching and stories about her playing career. She is one of the most knowledeable people I've had the pleasure of working with in my 12 year fastpitch coaching career."

The fact that we are flying him from California to Juneau, Alaska and we take 25-30 girls from Juneau to Phoenix to work with them during our spring break week (because he is in Phoenix) speaks volumes.
Ben and his staff are very personable and very flexible in providing instruction. The girls have loved his instructors and of course really like Ben. They give clear instruction laid out in an excellent progression. They also know how to push the girls while giving them success and encouragement. I've been coaching baseball and softball for 34 years and they are as good as I've seen. Very sound mechanics and that's where it's at.

This is Megan. I would just like to say that the camp was a really good experience. I thought it was entertaining and it helped me learn new skills, like how to dive. I believe it's better than the Mike Candrea camp because you take the time to get to know the girls and see what certain techniques they need to work on. Thanks again for that wonderful opportunity.
